My Project

My students often experience significant stress due to academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal challenges. Providing a creative outlet like bracelet-making kits and coloring books can serve as a simple yet powerful way to help them manage their stress in a healthy and productive manner. Engaging in hands-on activities allows my students to slow down, focus on the present moment, and express themselves without judgment. Coloring has been shown to promote relaxation by reducing anxiety and improving concentration, while bracelet-making provides a calming, repetitive motion that can be meditative. These activities encourage mindfulness, offering students a much-needed break from their daily stressors.

Beyond stress relief, this project helps build a supportive classroom environment where my students feel safe and valued.

When students have access to creative and mindful activities, they develop a stronger sense of emotional regulation and resilience. The opportunity to create something tangible, whether a piece of art or a bracelet, also fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-expression. Additionally, sharing these activities with peers can strengthen social bonds and create a sense of community. By incorporating these stress-relief tools, we not only help students cope with challenges but also promote positive mental health habits that can benefit them beyond the classroom.
