My Project

As a school counselor, I see students in my office daily. Having a safe space for students to come when they need to talk, regulate their emotions, work on social-emotional skills is important, or just relax and have a snack. Having the laptop to be able to teach and show motivational videos, coping skills, and play music will help students regulate their emotions. The fidget toys are always a classroom favorite to get the students comfortable and the snacks and drinks make the room a little more inviting!

Providing these items for the counseling office will help students as they learn to regulate their emotions and work on social-emotional skills in a calm and inviting space.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and are eager to learn. As a school counselor, it is important to create a safe and comfortable environment while students work through their feelings.
