My Project

The sensory tools selected will be used by students in counseling sessions. A lot of my students face challenges with anxiety and cognitive distractibility. Despite their best efforts to focus during class, many students struggle to concentrate, which reduces the effectiveness of their learning. In counseling, we work on ways to manage and overcome these issues, among others.

Sensory toys are essential to keeping students engaged, so they can manage their emotions and focus better and feel more comfortable during counseling sessions.

This then extends to the classroom and overall interactions. The pillows and other furniture selected will help them to be comfortable in the counseling space. Additionally, the interactive games will be used in group sessions to encourage collaboration and foster relationships among students.

These sensory tools are more than just resources; they represent a commitment to nurturing each student’s unique needs. By creating a supportive environment, we can help them build confidence, explore their emotions, and develop lasting skills that extend beyond our sessions. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives.
