Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My building is a 6th through 8th grade school, and in every grade, we develop a strong classroom community to support one another. Many of my students come from lower income families that struggle each day to make ends meet. Yet, my students do their best to learn. I try my best to give my students a good education and an introduction to social emotional learning, but with limited resources there are many things that others consider basic parts of education that I cannot provide without assistance. My school is very limited in the funds that teachers receive for supplies. Teachers go forward and buy their own supplies to help their students have a successful school year. I feel that these supplies will help students regulate through a hard time and figure out emotions with support put in place to help. This will help with the output of work and allow students to persevere.
