My Project
My students have been reading like CRAZY since the school year began, and I can already tell that I have some gaps in the types of books that my students are craving. This project will help me to supplement areas of my classroom library that feel a bit too empty for particular genres.
Funding for this project will aim to add a wider variety of titles on my library shelves that reflect the diversity and excitement of my student readers. I aim to provide books that are mirrors for students who wish to see themselves in the books they read as well as books that are windows for students looking to see stories that may feel unfamiliar to them to develop a stronger sense of empathy.
