My Students

The children I work with have a range of academic disabilities, emotional troubles, and social challenges but they don't allow that to stop them. They work hard to gain an understanding of what is taught in class and don't hesitate to ask or say when they don't understand something and need help. Because of their determination, I strive to meet them at their needs and build them up.

My class community consists of 22 awesome children made up of 3 classes.

A mixture of boys and girls that are working hard to achieve academic goals. Their grades range from kindergarten to 2nd. Some live in a shelter while the rest live in a poverty-stricken neighborhood in housing projects or low-income buildings, but they all live in the neighborhood of the school which has a high crime rate. Because of this unusual and inevitable change in the world as we knew it, supplies will be needed to be able to give these children an education as close as what they are used to as possible.

My Project

I teach 3 classes with students that range from kindergarten to 2nd grade that are easily distracted. These classes are made up of students attending school fully remote but don't have the a quiet space to work in which is needed for them to stay focused.

With this project I am trying to get some headphones with a microphone attached so they will be able to tune out the unnecessary noise that is preventing them from getting the most out of the education.

This will help them reaching their academic goal.
