This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In working with lower grades, I have noticed 'calming corners' are a good technique used to either calm and relax students who are on edge. In working with the upper grades, I have noticed many teachers opt out of this idea. I strongly believe that a calming corner for my 6th graders will benefit there mentality and overall produce a more emotionally stabled student. This 'Calming corner' will be a designated area in my classroom where they can be able to relax and calm down those middle school emotions and jitters.
