Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in despite need of normalcy and socialization in middle school! Playing a middle school instructional sport is pretty much their only way for our students to access social interaction at school, aside from the one class of students they are with the entire day due to COVID restrictions that are still in place.

37 of our 95 middle school students have signed up to play spring instructional volleyball, but are in need of comfortable sports shorts, healthy snacks to give fuel to play (and create good eating habits) and a few volleyballs to practice with.

These materials will help students feel comfortable while taking an exciting new risk! While also helping them interact in new ways socially and emotional to promote wellness!
