My Project

I teach in a Title 1 middle school in Brooklyn, NY. My students come from various backgrounds, ethnicities, and social economic circumstances.

I hope by adding exciting and “popular” books to my classroom library, my students can find the pleasure and joy in picking up a good book.

The NY State ELA & Math exams are untimed. Often students will finish early. These classroom books will serve to keep those students focused, quiet, and happy while classmates continue to work on their exams.

Thank you for your consideration in helping to fund this literacy project for my students.
