My Project

Every time I do a project like this I worry that people might not believe that snacks are important to a classroom, but when I tell you that these projects have made some of the biggest impact I am not kidding. They have transformed my classroom.

Something as simple as a bag of chips or crackers can change the way a child responds or give them the energy they need to continue working on an assignment.

Let's face it, even as an adult; a little afternoon snack makes me happy and gives me the motivation and energy to keep working to the end of a long work day. These snacks are giving students a way to stay motivated, but also provide me with the opportunity to meet a basic need that so many of my students struggle with: food insecurity.

Mrs. Ross Albert Hill Middle School Grades 6-8
