My Project

We are really excited to reboot Broadway Junior. We used to have a strong musical theater program before COVID-19, but since we've been back, it has been hard to get the program off the ground again. Money is tighter than ever and we need a little help making Moana's story come to life. We want to give our students a true theater experience with costumes, props, and a magical set.

They are putting their hearts into rehearsal, but they feel disappointed when they see the resources that the other schools have.

We are a low-income school. We have students from all over the country. Many of whom have been displaced. When the students learned that we were performing in May (Asian American Pacific Islander Month), they insisted on doing Moana to educate their peers and combat Asian hate. They want to make this an opportunity to build empathy and cultural awareness. We would love to allow them to celebrate Asian culture.

It is such a pleasure to watch students develop a love for Musical Theater. They learn so many life skills that can help them in the future. They start caring more about each other and school. They become a family, a safe place for each other to take the necessary risks to help them grow. Please help us give our students the gift of Musical Theater.
