Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a high poverty community where the entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. They are respectful and very motivated and come to school ready to learn. Most of my students are English language learners who work hard because they know through education and staying resilient, their lives will improve.
These items will assist the students positively with their hygiene and self confidence which will then help them perform better in the classroom.
The middle school age is filled with body changes that need a lot of grooming. When a student feels good about themselves they will be able to concentrate in the classroom and not worry about their odor which will deter their concentration away from learning. Healthy students do better academically in the classroom and these items will help them be successful.
The deodorant will help keep them clean and fresh after sweating in PE class. The soap bars, lotion, body wash, body spray, shampoo, and conditioners will help students practice good hygiene with other parts of their bodies. The Q-tips and pimple patches will keep their ears clean and the patches will help with acne. The toothpaste and toothbrushes will help them take care of their teeth regularly and avoid bad breath or any negative future impacts that may occur because their teeth are being neglected.
Students will benefit greatly from these items and your help with this project is greatly appreciated.
