This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My student athletes are from ages 11-14 in middle school. The girls are very young and having these equipment will help them familiarize themselves with the game of volleyball and motivate them to pursue sports. My major goal is to help keep the retention of young girls in sports and help them build confidence and belief in themselves in the sports world. My girls learning volleyball and budget cuts have made it hard to provide the necessary equipment such as balls and volleyball carts to help them learn the sport and obtain a free and quality experience.

What makes my student athletes special is that they are eager and committed to learning this new sport and they are very hardworking and really displayed love for the game which this donation can really help with.
