This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a spectacularly awesome group of middle school junior scientists in a Title 1 school that is relatively close to the Bronx Zoo, which is a plus, but I want to bring the zoo into my classroom!
Research has shown that interacting with pets in the classroom can benefit students in a myriad of ways, such as increasing student empathy towards animals (and each other).
The items in this project like pet tank, lamp and more will help me accomplish this goal by incorporating two reptiles into my classroom. We would greatly appreciate your help!
