My Students

Over 90% of our student population receives free lunch. Many of my students travel over 90 minutes to have a free breakfast to start their day. The students, though highly economically disadvantaged, are always in school and on-time. They are always eager to learn through reading, demonstrations, and hands-on activities (their favorite). My students are dedicated, hard-working, and willing to think outside of the box to learn new skills and techniques.

They want to learn new strategies and critical thinking techniques to improve their understanding of their connected world.

The students will read differentiated levels of text from different genres to supplement their learning. These students are always excited to apply themselves to explore and discuss new skills and topics.

The supplies purchased will help these students learn new skills but also teamwork, responsibility, dedication, and commitment. The students have pledged to become role-models by achieving high academic standards, assisting other students, and trying to become informed citizens.

My Project

The students will learn how to create and print 3D models using the 3D printer and accessories. The students will also learn how to code simple technologies and will eventually progress to coding a program in the 3D printer. The students will learn how-to carry hands-on experiments with their live butterfly kits and will create accessories for the cocoons using the 3D printer.

By donating to the project you will ensure that my students will conduct small experiments using the experimental design process.

The students will gain in-depth knowledge of the engineering process and will apply their learning to real-world situations in their classroom. This project will help my students understand time-management, effective planning, teamwork, and responsibility.
