This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are struggling readers. Other than reading passages and boring selections day in and day out, I really want a classroom library where they can go and select a book that they actually want to read. I noticed that many of my students (especially the ones that struggle) like graphic novels because it has lots of color and pictures! It actually makes them want to read the stories! Although, yes, the books may be below their level, I think it will encourage them to practice their reading more and show them they can enjoy it at the same time!
