My Students
My students come from low-income areas and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We lack many everyday school supplies, and many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders, and other essential supplies for school.
Many of my students come from low-income households.
Eighty-five percent of the students are English language learners, so many do not receive much help at home due to language. The teachers at our school are mentors to the children. We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.
My Project
Having the appropriate materials to use for classroom projects will make a big difference in the classroom. Students are excited to get the essential classroom materials to have for themselves. It makes them feel happy and want to do the required classwork. Having the materials such as folders, pencils, tape, and cleaning supplies are materials necessary for learning. The pencils will be used for writing in the classroom and for home use. The folders will keep paper organized in their binder. The Disinfectant fogger and spray will be an extra protection from the Covid virus.
