This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are creative, thoughtful, and incredibly kind! They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. They come to school every day eager to learn and with a positive attitude.

My kids have chosen to come to our school for a hands-on educational experience.

An educational experience in which their culture and lifestyles will be embraced in the classroom. Each one of my students is unique, but that's what makes our classroom community all that much better.

My Project

It’s that time of year again...the halfway point in the school year! In order for my students to continue to be successful learners, they need more basic school supplies. I try to supply them as much as I can throughout the year but this can get very costly, especially on a teacher's salary.

These supplies will help my students to complete the necessary classwork as well as continue to publish their writing pieces.

My students are in constant need of pencils, glue sticks, and markers. Students use these materials on a daily basis. My students also became "authors" and published a few writing pieces. This includes everything from a fiction story to a nonfiction story, too soon autobiographies! I want my students to be proud of their work and to develop a passion for writing. Having a bookbinding machine will allow my students to feel this accomplishment and will make them feel like true "authors".
