Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 4th Grade students at our elementary school are from an economically disadvantaged area in Richmond, Virginia. They are a diverse group of children from various cultures. Many students speak English as a second language and some are new to this country. Others have never been outside their own neighborhood.

After virtual learning for 18 months, we are finally back in-person together.

While still in a pandemic and the majority of our students are unvaccinated, it is more important than ever to keep our classroom clean and safe. We use several wipes each day to ensure our laptops, desks, and various other surfaces are disinfected. We are also still following a 100% mask mandate for all students, staff, and visitors.

Therefore, I'm reaching out for your help. Your donation will go toward purchasing classroom supplies such as disinfecting wipes and spray, children and adult masks, incentives and rewards, and a broom & dustpan b. With your donations, we can give our students a better sense of community and what it means to stay healthy & safe. Please consider helping us. Thank you!

My Project

The materials and supplies for this project will be used to restock our classroom supplies. We are using several wipes a day to keep our classroom clean, wearing masks 100% of the time, and doing a great job!

The games, candy, and various other supplies we would like for our fun, engaging classroom community of learners.

We enjoy solving math problems on whiteboards and therefore need more expo markers. We also love to play games inside when we are unable to go outside for recesss - Jenga, Connect 4, and Trouble will be so much fun!
