Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are critical thinkers, curious, and they are avid readers. From the moment they enter the school in Pre-K or kindergarten, our staff and parents help them develop a love of learning that is carried with them throughout their educational journey.

Our school and our community work so hard to provide as many opportunities as possible for our students to grow and flourish as readers and scholars.

Despite some people's misconceptions about our students, based on their backgrounds and location, they show us that they are leaders every day through their words and actions.

My Project

The materials in this project are materials that are used every day in my classroom. Therefore, they are the first that we run out of. My students use whiteboards every day to practice their math skills and their CVC word chains.

Whiteboard markers are a must-have in my classroom!

I also desperately need new nametags for their desks. Our current ones have been very well-loved and are beginning to tear and fall off.

Finally, glue sticks are used to help us sequence pictures from stories in the correct order and to do fun arts and crafts activities.
