My Project

My students are students with emotional disturbances who also have learning disabilities that are enrolled in high school. Most of my students come from low-income families and travel quite far each day to get to their school outside their neighborhood. Most have to face what seems like unimaginable obstacles in their personal lives while managing their learning disabilities. Each morning that my students show ready to work, we as teachers try to help them get through the day anyway we can.

Whether it be a listening ear, the advice giver, or just someone they can rely on to be that support, as a male role model, it is important to continually be there for my students.

Every single one of my students deserve an applause because they come to school every day. With new supplies, such as markers, sticky notes, and folders, my students will be prepared to tackle any task at hand and learn that other individuals care. As their teacher and a role model to them, I cannot let them become frustrated over the lack of supplies they have. Together we can provide them with all the supplies needed to promote learning.
