Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is a fun, safe, and engaging space for students to learn. As teachers we want the students to feel comfortable throughout the day for them to produce their best work. Our classroom has structure and routine, which we create so the students can know what to expect. We always do our best to have supplies ready to use so no child has to worry about pencils or paper.

Our school is a Title I school in Manhattan serving children grades Pre-K to 5th grade.

The student body is 97% children of minority background, majority low-income and a high population of ELLs/special education students. My class is a 4th grade ICT classroom with a large ratio of special needs and ENL students!

My Project

Hello! It's that special time of the year when the holidays are here, and teachers are wondering what happened to all the supplies!?

Fourth graders burn through pencils and other school supplies on a daily basis due to all our extraordinary writing we are doing in school!

I can't blame them! They are awesome and put in the work every day. Please help us re-supply in the things we use up most in the classroom and could use more of to last until June.

Every donation is appreciated and will go towards our lovely 9-10 year olds and their 4th grade journey!
