Mics for Motivated Multilingual Third Graders to Fashion Folktales

My Project

These headsets with microphones are the quality tools that my students deserve to learn to read and write with the support of technology. My classroom is a place where multilingual students already show tremendous growth in literacy. This is due to their love of learning, the encouragement of their families, and the work of our team of educators always cheering them towards success.

With these engaging materials, my students will research and write folktales through listening to audiobooks and drafting their narratives by recording all of their creative ideas into the mics.

Students will be presenting their work to an audience of peers, family members, and school staff. And these headsets will support them in getting off to a spectacular start. Students will listen to folktales to understand their purpose, genre, and, most of all, to experience the pleasure of reading stories from cultures around the world. Then, they will write using text-to-speech software to craft their drafts.

My students have already shown incredible growth in and motivation for writing this year, and this project will help enrich their language experience in school.
