My students need microscopes to pursue their scientific inquiries.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nurse's classroom raised $871
This project is fully funded
My Students
I teach science in a school in Brooklyn with a 59% poverty rate. My students need microscopes to pursue their scientific inquiries. They are wonderful young scientists in the making who always want to learn more.
I work with 230 pre-k, kindergarten and first grade students.
They are full of questions, love to experiment, observe, and learn more about the world through science. My students inspire me everyday to try new things and to expose them to the world of science in every possible way.
My Project
Do you remember the first time you used a microscope? I believe that students in my science classroom are ready for age appropriate microscopes. They need to observe, experiment, and pose questions. It is never too early to expose them to new tools that can help them explore. New microscopes will help our students see into the world of microbiology and help them visualize the microscopic world.
This year started with big budget cuts in our school.
We can't afford to buy these materials for my class. Microscopes will provide more excitement and motivation, and will inspire the students to observe from a scientific perspective. By donating these materials to my classroom, you are helping me foster my students' love for inquiry and science.
