My Students

The Bridge Builders are part of an urban/suburban community in Whitestone, New York. Our school serves approximately 600 students who come from a plethora of different backgrounds and home environments.

The Technology/Makespace Lab is a space students come to to engage in imaginative literature, computer technology, coding, makerspace and STEM activities all while collaborating with their peers.

This year, my goal is to ensure that all students can participate in learning, whether remote or in-person with access to the digital world.

My Project

The students at our school need headphones to utilize in the Technology/Makerspace Lab. With only 50 minutes of time for each class session, utilizing headphones in a shared space is crucial to their success. Time is of the essence so alcohol wipes are used to disinfect each headphone before placing it back on the computer for the next class session. These headphones help students focus on their tasks in the lab, whether that be coding using CSFirst, typing on TypingWeb, or creating using other platforms.

Students need quality headphones to concentrate on their tasks and improve their work productivity.

It can be a struggle to find good quality headphones that will last a long period of time. These headphones improve the classroom environment as it keeps students engaged without the worry of outside distractions.
