My Students

Access to high quality learning equates to future opportunity. At our Title I school, students rely on the resourcefulness of the school community to seek out tools to help level a very un-level playing field. I have seen firsthand that when my students have the resources they need, they thrive.

My students are curious, brilliant 7th graders who have a sincere desire to learn.

Our school is a positive community that supports students who come from a wide array of cultural and language backgrounds, as well as students with learning needs that require an encouraging and personalized environment.

My Project

In order to aid us in create such a supportive and personalized environment, we would like for our students to have access to 1 on 1, live-tutoring through Mentored, a tutoring platform that matches students to an expert level tutor to help coach them through difficult material. Students will use mentored in and out of school to help guide them through learning in a way that meets their needs, making sure that no student is without support. I believe that investing in my students' learning is not only an investment in their futures, but in the future of education and society as a whole.

Giving my students access to tools like Mentored bring us closer to the foundational goal of public education: to bring to every person the intellectual tools and support they need to be successful.
