My Project

Students work best when their mental health needs are met. This project will allow us to create a calm and focused learning space that meets their mental and physical health needs. Our students would benefit from ambient lighting, fidget toys, kick bands, and noise cancelling headphones which support a variety of sensory needs. Additionally, in advisory, students benefit from board games to help build friendship and communication skills.

A sense of belonging and comfort is key to students' mental health, and these items will help us meet our students physical needs and let them know they are deeply cared for.

If they need a pad, we will have it. If they're hungry, no problem. If the overhead light is too much, independent work time is too loud, or they need a weighted stuffy, we can provide for those needs!
