This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our project seeks funding for an iPad to enhance mental health education and digital safety in my advisory group. This tool will empower students to navigate technology responsibly while building essential skills for managing mental well-being in a digital world. The iPad will allow us to demonstrate mental health apps, privacy features, and digital well-being tools directly on the smartboard, making it easier for students to follow along and apply these practices on their own devices.

With this resource, we can facilitate interactive, structured breaks where students engage with calming and mindfulness apps, helping them learn valuable stress management techniques in a controlled environment.

Additionally, the device will support lessons on online safety, teaching students to make informed choices that protect their mental health in the digital world.

By integrating the iPad into our mental health and safety curriculum, we aim to empower students with the tools they need to navigate technology responsibly and develop lifelong strategies for mental wellness. This project aligns with Google.org’s commitment to supporting health initiatives by creating a safer, more supportive learning environment for students.
