My Project

Promoting mental health literacy for high school students can help young people understand, manage, and improve their mental well-being. Mentally healthy students are more likely to go to school ready to learn, engage in school activities, have supportive and caring connections to peers and adults, develop appropriate problem solving skills, and add to a positive school culture.

The goals for this project is to be able to provide: interactive mental health workshops in classrooms, activities to engages students at tabling events, supplies for support groups, in addition to items that can be used by our school's Wellness Committee to host and/or support student led mental health activities that are school wide (such as Respect for All Week).

Our students are special because young people are the future leaders of our nation. According published items from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and American Psychological Association (APA) student mental health is in crisis. Our students are gifted, talented, and want to achieve stability and success for themselves and for the future.
