My Project

Working to di-stigmatize mental health is still a challenge at high needs schools where students are in survival mode. My goal is to create a brave/safe space for them to come and express their feelings freely. With this donation, my space will help create a comfortable and welcoming environment for ALL students. Having positive music, meditation videos and calming images for students to visual see and hear to help deescalate their big emotions that are present will be invaluable. Student deserve a space to feel appreciated and respected when they are feeling overwhelmed. My space will give them the break needed to recenter and go back to class to be successful. Student safety and success is the goal for this space that these items will help provide. Thank you.
