Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me provide for the theatre students in the public all-girls high school. This project will be part of an after school celebration to bring our young women joy and community after school. The items include important products such as arts materials, and snacks. Although essential, community belonging can often feel in accessible to kids who come from challenging homes. Kids spend so much of their time in school, so it is important we help fill in that gap. This will in turn promote learning by covering a very basic need. Finally, this project also includes snacks for our students. Hungry students are more likely to sleep in class, have difficulty focusing during a lesson and have overall less energy to learn. This project will help fulfill that basic need as well. Thank you!
