This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an athletic trainer at a Title 1 high school. I have over 700 athletes participating throughout various sports seasons. I take care of all these athletes and their injuries. Not all my students have access to rehabilitation services for their injuries. Not being able to afford rehabilitation services affects their mental health because they are not able to get back to their sport in time. I help provide them with these services when their parents can't afford therapy.

I am also one of the only administrators available after school to help female athletes when they are in need of emergency feminine hygiene products during their practices and games.
