This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to incorporate art activities with my high school students with special needs. I need the color printer to plan creative and engaging activities for my students such as colorful projects and book covers. I also plan to use art activities such as making bracelets, painting on canvas, using construction paper to address various mental health topics such as anxiety. My students are extremely artistic and enjoy learning through creative methods. Art is a useful strategy for coping with various emotions and feelings and I feel that these materials would greatly benefit my students with intellectual disabilities.
