This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Food insecurity is an adversity that my students deal with daily. It is detrimental to their mental health and academic stamina. When students are fed, they are more likely to feel invigorated in class. They are more likely to participate, and therefore, more likely to be heard. When students are fed, they are more mindful of each other in class. When they are fed, they are more prone to be present. This project intends to give them a food outlet that is comforting, healthy, and stable. This improves their mental health and rids them of food worries while at school.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.

Equity Focus
