Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials would be used as a resource to try to make someone's day a little brighter. With almost 4000 students in this school, not every student gets acknowledged. By having these bracelet-making kits, I will give my students the opportunity to make bracelets for a friend or random student who they see down, or sad in the halls. I want the students to know that one simple act of kindness can mean the world to someone. Many students are going through a million things, like suffering from depression, loneliness, feeling invisible, and home issues that we don't get to see. Some of our students are living in shelters and trying to fit in. Just having this random act of kindness will hopefully make their day, week, or even their year. Sadly, most students don't know to how to reach out, and by making these bracelets, students could feel like they belong.
