This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am noticing a lot of students who are trying to manage depression, anxiety and school avoidance. I would like to have some activities that we could engage in to identify some root causes and learn coping strategies to ease so of the discomfort. The books that I have added to my wish list will give me some strategies that I do not have in my toolkit. I also want to create an environment that students will feel is accessible with the fidgets, snacks and games. I also would like to use some of the community building activities in small groups to help students socialize and not isolate.
