This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a supportive classroom environment for students with special educational needs is crucial for their mental health and overall well-being, and various tools can significantly contribute to this. Bean bags and yoga balls provide comfortable and flexible seating options, allowing students to choose a position that helps them relax and focus, which can alleviate anxiety. Healthy snacks promote energy and concentration while offering opportunities for social interaction, fostering a sense of community among students. Affirmation stickers serve as positive reinforcement, boosting self-esteem and motivation by celebrating achievements and encouraging resilience. Organizational tools like staplers, hole punchers, and organizers help maintain a tidy environment, empowering students to manage their materials independently and reducing the chaos that can lead to stress. Collectively, these elements create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that supports SPED students in feeling secure, engaged, and ready to learn.
