My Project

I am requesting supplies to support teenagers' mental health. Often, social and emotional issues divert students from being able to focus and learn in class. These items will help students decompress and refocus on academics when they are in distress.

Sensory strips, decompression tools, and yoga ball chairs will allow students to divert their stress and keep our classroom calm to provide a positive atmosphere.

Sensory strips are very effective for diverting anger, sadness, or frustration to give the students something positive to focus on. Additionally, we will have support to practice more meditation and mindfulness in the classroom.
