My Project

For this project, I am requesting art supplies like oil pastels, watercolors, markers, and colored pencils, which serve as essential tools that foster creativity and play a crucial role in social-emotional learning. These supplies provide students with diverse mediums to express themselves artistically, allowing them to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through art. For example, colored pencils and markers will be used to decorate their sketchbooks, personalizing them to create a sense of belonging and purpose. The materials will also be used for art class projects such as collaborative murals, mood mandalas, and daily sketching activities. I am also requesting hands-on building kits for students to create models and 3D structures. Having access to Legos and model kits will help students learn processing skills, along with problem solving while nurturing their creativity. Students will work together to construct items, learning teamwork and fostering an atmosphere of collaboration.

Having access to requested art and hands-on building supplies not only enhances artistic expression, but also nurtures social-emotional development and mental health in the classroom.

With these materials, we can ensure students have the opportunity to do both.
