This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These items on my list will help the students have fidget and sensory items when they come to my office for mental health support. My office is a calm area for students who are experiencing anxiety, sadness, and other emotions. Having fidget items and places to store them will help them distract themselves and allow them to open up freely to speak about how they are feeling. I would love to be able to give students fidget items for them to carry with them so when they are feeling anxious they can focus their minds on the toy and be able to be self-sufficient to get back to class.
