Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are super focused and interested in the health field. They work hard every day to meet expectations and strive for success. They demonstrate medical knowledge and skills. However, they are still kids and need to let loose a little. Solving puzzles helps students to refocus their attention, problem-solve, and also use parts of their brains that are normally turned off due to looking at screens all day.

Play is still an important part of mental health.

The puzzles will be used to help address the social-emotional side of my students. They are under tremendous pressure to perform and I want them to still enjoy the learning process. I have used puzzles in the past and have enjoyed watching students converse as they solve the puzzle and also using content vocabulary as they look for pieces.
