Mental Health Counselor Wanting to Impact the Community!

I need your help paying for the cost of tuition to complete Breathe For Change's Mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning, and Yoga Teacher Training. This will help me reach others in my community!

My Project

I have wanted to complete this program for years and have not been able to due to the cost. Now that I am able to utilize Donors Choose for helping with the financial piece, I would love to complete the Breathe for Change Mindfulness, Social Emotional Leader, and Yoga Teacher Training! I currently work in Louisville, Kentucky, where I am a Mental Health Counselor. Completing this training would allow me to use the skills I learn to model and teach self-care skills to my entire community! In today's society, where Mental Health is becoming more recognized as a vital piece of the puzzle, I want to continue to support my students, colleagues, and community with the skills to meet their needs!

With this professional development, I will host Social Emotional and wellness events for all students, staff, and community members.

Mental Health is such a vital piece of student success, as well as every adult! It is my hope that teaching students, staff, and families tools to use that can increase their Mindfulness and over all well being will not only impact our school community, but, everyone they love and come into connection with.
