My Project

Mental health starts in the classroom. My main objective is to create a welcoming environment that feels like home. This begins by addressing some of my students' basic needs—ensuring they have essential supplies like pens, highlighters, and books for a break from work, as well as candy and snacks to keep them nourished.

When students do not need to worry about basic needs, mental health becomes a staple of the classroom!

This project focuses on addressing basic needs and how meeting these needs can positively impact students' mental health while they are in our classroom.
