My Project

My students conducted a research study about menstrual hygiene management in my school. Their research showed that menstrual health is a largely stigmatized topic and many people don't have access to quality products. While the school does provide menstrual products, my students were able to survey their peers and they found that many menstruators rarely use the products offered. Of the students who did use the school provided menstrual products, many of them rated the product quality to be very low. This prompted them to ask me to create a Donors Choose project, so that they can purchase and distribute higher quality menstrual products to the entire school. An improvement in accessibility to these products will be free of charge and improve the quality of life for many of my students!
