My Students

My students attend one of the oldest inner city Title I high schools in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our school is nestled in the heart of the Frankford section of Philadelphia. They are passionate, creative, fun loving, and eager to learn.

My students learn the fundamentals of Photography, Lighting, Photographic Manipulation, Film, and Cinematography.

Through my Photographic Media classes, students are provided with hands on experience will professional grade equipment, but they must have the proper supplies in order to use them.

My Project

This project will help provide an essential need in order to use all of the equipment in our classroom: Memory Cards. We are very lucky to have received a variety of professional grade equipment through a grant this year, but I struggle to distribute multiple cameras out at one time due to the lack availability of memory cards.

Currently my students are working with just SIX small sized memory cards for 140+ students.

By providing my students with additional memory cards, we will be able to take photos or videos and not have to worry about them being accidentally deleted to make room for the next person.
