Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the cutest 1st graders alive! They are eager and ready to learn everyday. We are a family that helps and encourages each other. My 1st graders are curious and willing to try their best at everything they do.

My Project

My Mathematicians are fully remote learners that are in need of tactile, hands -on manipulatives. In order to ensure concrete concepts are mastered, my students will need to actively participate in live remote learning sessions. These math tools will allow my students to use reasoning while learning new concepts.

These math manipulatives will allow for my students to: make sense of problems, reason abstractly and quantitatively, model with mathematics, use appropriate tools strategically and look for and make use of structure.

At the end of 1st grade my students will be Mathematicians!
