My amazing students come to school eager to learn and ready to do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can to be successful one day. As a teacher at a Title I school, my students are faced with several challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide an engaging student-centered classroom experience that encourages learning and keeps my students relaxed.
My Project
The first graders at my school do a book study at the end of the year. The other first grade teachers and I are are wanting to make this book study special. On the first day of the unit we want to present Charlotte's Web to the students.
We want to get a copy of Charlotte's Web in each of our students' hands.
After the study, they will have the memory and the book to look back on. They will be able to keep this in there growing libraries and enjoy it for years to come.
This would be such a special gift. We also want to end the unit with watching the movie. This will be a fun celebration to remember.
