My Students

Help our special learners find new ways to become independent musicians.

Our school is a school for students with special needs.

Most of our students are on the autism spectrum or have other learning disabilities. Despite their challenges, our students are avid artistic learners and have been developing into fine musicians.

My Project

Incorporating a digital keyboard and hand bells will give our students more ways to learn about music. Keyboards can be easy for all students to learn. They can also attach to a computer to help students with their music literacy skills. In addition, it will help further enhance their hand-eye coordination, as well as their fine motor skills.

This project is important because I know the full potential of my students.

I have watched them develop the past several years and have learned that the opportunities are endless. Watching them succeed and become independent musicians has been one of the most positive aspects of my teaching career.
