My Students

My kindergarteners are like little sponges waiting to soak up all of the reading and writing knowledge I have to offer.

Our inner city school is made up of mostly low income families and immigrants who are very new to the country.

Our students are very excited to learn to read and write but we need a place to meet and work together that is accessible to everyone. We need a meeting spot!

My Project

This easel will be used in many ways in our classroom. We will meet around it during morning meeting, guided reading, guided writing and math. The easel will not only give us a place to sit and work as a class it will also allow the students to work together for peer tutoring and alone for challenge work.

The best part about this new easel is that it is safe for all the kids to use.

The easel can be reached by even the tiniest of Kindergarteners. It is also a much better choice than our old chalkboard for our children with Asthma and severe allergies.
