My Project

In my classroom, small-group instruction is essential to meeting the diverse needs of my students, and a horseshoe table would be a game-changer. This specialized table allows me to work closely with multiple students at once while ensuring that each child has direct access to me for individualized support. For my young learners, particularly those with special needs, having a structured space designed for focused instruction makes a tremendous difference. It helps minimize distractions, fosters engagement, and creates a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking for help and participating in discussions.

My goal with this project is to enhance small-group learning opportunities and provide a setting where students can develop foundational skills with the guidance and support they need.

Whether we’re practicing early literacy skills, working on math concepts, or engaging in social-emotional learning activities, this table will serve as a hub for interactive, hands-on instruction. With its unique shape, it encourages collaboration while allowing me to be physically present with each child, offering immediate feedback and tailored instruction that meets their individual needs.

What makes my students special is their curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to learn, despite the challenges they may face. Many of them learn best through direct, hands-on experiences and thrive in environments that provide structure and support. A horseshoe table would give them a designated space where they can build confidence, receive personalized attention, and develop the skills they need to succeed. This simple addition to our classroom would have a lasting impact, helping my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
